Support for rehabilitation with Biocomfort

Massage therapy

Massages make an active contribution both to preventing and alleviating existing diseases – whether as an illness prevention or rehabilitation measure, in case of strain, agitation, nervousness or exhaustion and tiredness at the end of a long day.

  • Activating relaxation for tired, strained muscles
  • Improved blood flow and therefore stimulation of the metabolism and metabolisation of fat
  • Alleviation of pain and inhibition of sensitivity to pain
  • Relaxation of tissue clumping, e.g. in connective tissue and at joints
  • Reflectory effects on internal organs, e.g. digestion

The relaxation and alleviation of pain achieved is helpful in many diseases:

  • Shoulder-arm syndrome, osteoarthritis, tendonitis and tendon disease (tennis elbow, chronic tendovaginitis)
  • Nasal sinus diseases, bronchitis
  • Migraine, tension headaches, digestive disorders
  • Wellness and beauty applications, e.g. cellulite, fat pads, cosmetic indications, skin problems, wrinkle formation, atony of the skin
  • Back complaints, e.g. intervertebral disc complaints, vertebral joint complaints (neck pain, spinal column complaints), muscle tension, muscle scleroses (myogeloses), chronic radicular syndrome, osteoporosis, sciatica, lumbago
  • Disorders of the microcirculation (only as directed by your doctor) e.g. blood flow disorders, lymphatic problems, circulatory disorders
  • Mental problems (only as directed by your doctor) e.g. phantom pain, disrupted sleep, anxiety / depression

Biocomfort offers the classic for professional hand massages and the relaxo-comfort for full-body massages.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy with Biocomfort spa baths differs greatly from conventional spa mats because of the significantly broader activity spectrum that is, above all, medicinally proven.

The most important effect is the deep-down muscle relaxation. Reducing the pressure on joints and intervertebral discs makes you noticeably more mobile. Tension and joint pain are significantly alleviated with long-lasting effect. The nervous system is harmonised in the spa bath: Relaxation and recovery emanate through your body like a wave. You breathe more freely, while your circulation is stimulated or blood pressure lowered according to your choice. The blood flow to your skin is improved, and you look fresher and more rosy after the bath.

  • Your muscular system is gently soothed and relaxed with long-lasting effect: Ideal for muscle care before and after sport.
  • Pressure on joints and intervertebral discs is reduced, mobility increases.
  • Sensitivity to pain is inhibited and pain is alleviated.
  • The oxygen content of the skin tissue increases by up to 7% within five minutes. Nutrient provision to your tissue is improved – a real oxygen shower for your body.
  • Blood flow to the skin is more than doubled, an effect that has been proven.
  • Regular bathing in a spa bath makes it possible to mobilise fat pads and flush out waste products.
  • Blood flow properties are improved, blood pressure is regulated and the circulation is stabilised in a natural way.
  • Lungs can inflate better, deeper breathing is promoted.
  • The impulses from large bubbles reach as far as the internal organs, thereby making it possible to get your digestive system into gear.
  • The autonomic nervous system is harmonised, mental tension relaxed. Autonomic functions such as sleep are either initiated and reinforced or else postponed.
  • The circulation can either be stimulated or damped down, as you wish.
  • The effectiveness of essential bath oils is significantly greater in spa baths. The concentration of active substances in the vapour mist above the bath water is thirty times higher than in the surrounding air. The proven increase in depth of breathing in the spa bath results in a ten-fold increase in the concentration of essential oils in the blood.

Spa baths are suitable as a complementary therapy for the treatment of various diseases:

  • Spinal conditions

Bath additives

Personal health management

The Biocomfort Health Manager is your personal home health management system using medically validated measuring instruments (blood pressure, blood glucose, body fat) which are networked wirelessly using software to a PDA or PC. The Biocomfort Health Manager produces evaluations and recommendations about how to proceed based on the Procam score by means of automatic collection and storage of data. Regularly monitoring these values in conjunction with stays at clinics and health spas enables the user to document changes in the state of their health. Successful treatments at health spas can become apparent. The Health Manager additionally provides an informative basis of data for aftercare provided by your GP.

Diagnostic instruments

For sufferers and risk groups, Biocomfort offers individual measuring instruments for blood sugar and blood pressure that are approved for clinical use.
